Academic Technology Office Calls
Would you like personal assistance in learning the practical WTClass tools and services provided by the Academic Technology Department within the comfort of your own office? To meet the varied schedules of faculty and instructors who are campus-based, Academic Technology is offering a new program called “Office Calls.”
Academic Technology staff will make “Office Calls” to faculty, instructors, and staff offices for individualized, one-on-one training.
We can help you with:
- WTClass
- Uploading a Syllabus
- Setting up or configuring a WTClass Gradebook
- Creating an online discussion forum
- Creating an online exam
- Creating a WTClass Assignment drop box for electronic submissions
- Instructional Design
- Suggestions for different ways to assess students in online or hybrid courses
- Design or redesign an online or hybrid course
- Ideas for making your online course more engaging
- Software
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe PDF
- Respondus (creating printable tests, or online tests)
- Zoom (for connecting with students, providing special guest lectures, or online office hours)
- And much more!
Since we are only able to provide a limited number of Office Call sessions per week, requests are handled on a first come, first serve basis. If the number of Office Call sessions are filled, you can still receive assistance through the ITSC help desk, or by calling one of the Academic Technology instructional designers on staff.
